Squad stopped working after reinstall

Reinstalling Squad does not always remove local Windows app data. That means the same broken configuration or cache can survive the reinstall and keep causing crashes or launch failures.

Why reinstall does not always fix it

Steam reinstall mainly affects installed game files. Windows local app data can remain, so the broken state may come back immediately after the new install.

Recommended workflow

Run Squad Fixer after reinstall before changing random settings. It gives you a cleaner baseline for testing the game again.
